Melissa Rue is the coordinator for Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest’s Children at Play Network, which connects children to nature through free play outdoors. Melissa is passionate about supporting children’s paths toward their healthy development. The mother of two teenagers, she believes strongly in the value of the outdoors for children and youth. She is committed to creating greater access and equity so that all children have safe places to play.  A graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she studied communications, Melissa has more than 20 years of experience helping organizations in the non-profit and public sectors achieve their goals.
